Announced the Amazon Prime Day 2020: here's when it will be held and how it works
It was made to wait a lot, due to the Covid-19 emergency, but now the announcement has arrived: the Amazon Prime Day 2020 will be held on October 13 and 14. To be precise, in Italy, Prime Day starts at 00:01 on Tuesday, October 13 and ends at 23:59 on Wednesday, October 14.
But Prime Day 2020 is not the only announcement made today by the ecommerce giant, which has also launched a new initiative in favor of small and medium-sized businesses and artisans, hard hit by the post-Covid economic crisis: from September 28, i.e. from today, to October 12, i.e. the day before Prime Day 2020, those who make purchases for at least €10 on the shop of these companies will receive a free bonus of €10 to spend during Prime Day. Not ancano, finally, the Amazon Prime Day offers anticipated and already in force. The novelties, therefore, this year are many more than in previous years.
Amazon for SMEs
The first offer has already started: going to Amazon users find the banner "Spend 10 euros on products of small and medium enterprises and save 10 euros on Prime Day". Clicking on it opens Amazon's small and medium business section, which shows in rotation the story of an Italian artisan or SME selling their products on Amazon.
At this point, all that's left to do is choose the category of products we want to buy and proceed as we always do. If the goods purchased cost more than 10 euros, then we will receive the 10 euro voucher to spend during the 48 hours of Prime Day 2020.
Amazon Prime Day Early Offers
Some products on sale on Amazon are already on discount: those of Amazon. For example, the Alexa-compatible Blink Mini IP camera, which is on discount at €27.00 compared to an official price of €39.99. Or the kit from three devices eero to install a Wifi mesh network, on sale at 167.40 euros instead of 279 euros.
Or, again, the Ring Spotlight camera that instead of costing 229 euros is on offer at 159 euros. Discounts also on refurbished Amazon products: a Tablet Fire 7 with 32 GB of memory is taken at 52.99 euros instead of 71.99. It is very likely that, in the coming days, other Amazon products will be put on offer.
There are then discounts of up to 30% on all brands held by Amazon, 5 euros off (from October 1 to 25) for Prime customers who will buy at least 5 products and discounts on Amazon services: Amazon Music at 99 cents for 4 months, Prime Video has a section of movies on offer at 4.99 euros, Audible offers 5 euros to those who start the trial period, Kindle Unlimited costs 9.99 euros for the first three months.
Finally, among the early and already active offers are those on household products from non- Amazon brands such as Kartell, Varier, Kare, Foppapedretti, Lagostina, Yankee Candle.
Amazon Prime Day: what you need to know
As every year, during Amazon Prime Day 2020 users will be able to take advantage of more than one million deals globally on products from big brands such as Samsung, Huawei, iRobot, Sony, Barbie, Dodot, Philips, Oral-B, Garmin, Bosch, Puma and Foppapedretti.
All products on offer are recognizable by the special blue "Prime Day Offer" badge. Given the huge amount of offers available, which often last very short because the products sell out quickly, Amazon recommends that its PRime users download and install its smartphone app, through which you can receive personalized offers based on your tastes.
