Asus has officially launched the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro: Snapdragon 865 Plus with 8GB of RAM on board. Triple top camera

Asus has officially launched the new Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro, the two top-of-the-line devices from the Taiwanese company. There was great anticipation around the two smartphones, especially to know the features of the Flip Camera, that is, the particular camera that can turn 180 degrees to be used for both front and rear shots. Asus has invested in improving every single aspect of the device compared to last year's model.

Better camera, more power and a battery capable of ensuring a battery life that exceeds twenty-four hours. The two smartphones have been announced for the moment only for the Asian market, but will also arrive in Italy. In the coming days there should be the official announcement, both in terms of date and price of launch of the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro in Italy. There was talk in previous days of an excellent value for money: we'll see that Asus will confirm the rumors. Here are the characteristics of the Zenfone 7 and the Zenfone 7 Pro.

The data sheet of the Asus Zenfone 7

Power and speed are the two words that Asus engineers have followed for the development of the smartphone. On board the Zenfone 7 we find the Snapdragon 865 processor with supporting 6-8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The screen is 6.67 inches with FullHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The design features very thin bezels, thanks to the presence of the Flip Camera that can also be used as a front-facing camera.

The photo compartment consists of three sensors: 64 Megapixel main, 12 Megapixel wide-angle and 3x 8 Megapixel telephoto. The Flip Camera is tested to replicate its movement for more than 200,000 times without breaking. The battery is 5000mAh with fast charging at 30W.

Zenfone 7 Pro: the data sheet

The Pro version of the Zenfone 7 takes many features of its younger brother, but manages to express even more power. The hardware architecture is based on the Snapdragon 865 Plus processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. There is also support for 5G superfast network connection. The screen is identical: 6.67-inch diagonal with 90Hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution.

Slightly different is the photo compartment. The sensors remain the same, with the only difference that the sensor for wide-angle and telephoto photos have the optical image stabilizer.

The battery is still 5000mAh with fast charging at 30W, able to ensure a range of almost two days. The headphone jack is missing and there is no IP certification to use the smartphone in the middle of water.

For the moment Asus has only announced the prices for the Asian market of the two devices. As for Italy, there will be an official communication in the coming days regarding both the price and the release date.
