The model is long awaited as the most compact top of the range of 2021, but apparently it will not be alone: three will come.
The date on the calendar for Asus is May 12. It is in fact scheduled for next month the event that will bring before the eyes of the general public the new Zenfone 8 that, for the occasion, makes three with different features to give fans of the brand as many exciting experiences of use.
To spread on the network the first information - or rather rumors - about the three new devices was the website Xda Developer that, in the absence of official statements, has unleashed its team of experts to carry out a search within the source code of the kernel. And it was between those lines of code that it was possible to find some of the most tasty references, along with some confirmations of what was discovered in previous weeks immediately compared with the few and enigmatic details released by the official website in anticipation of the event next month.
Asus ZenFone 8 Mini, how will it be?
The first belonging to the ZenFone 8 series should be the device codenamed Sake, identified by Xda Developer during the last month of March (we talked about it here). To shed light on some details of the new device "Mini" was the analysis of the source code of the kernel: it is the 5.92-inch screen, with Full HD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, a dual camera and powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
Asus ZenFone 8 Pro, the characteristics
Picasso, this is the codename of the second device, should instead focus on larger screen sizes. In fact, it should be this ZenFone 8 Pro that - if confirmed - will come to market with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ screen and the same processor as the "Mini" version, namely Snapdragon 888 (here all the technical characteristics of this chip).
According to what was stated by the site Xda Developer, the characteristics of the camera should follow those of the 7 series, with the integration of an additional 24MP sensor defined sensor "front" within the kernel.
Asus Zenfone 8, the third model
There should then be the third version of ZenFone 8, codenamed Vodka, on which, however, to date there is still the utmost secrecy. In fact, the analysis of the kernel has not given particular results due to the absence of explicit references to the model. It remains in any case the doubt launched by Google during last month, when it revealed some names of devices including the mysterious "ZenFone 8 Flip", a name that very much suggests a smartphone with a form factor similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Flip.
Asus Zenfone 8, the presentation event
As anticipated, the appointment with the three new Asus ZenFone 8 devices, namely Asus ZenFone 8 Mini, Asus ZenFone 8 Pro and the third from the still unknown name, is for next May 12 at 1 p.m. local time (7 p.m. according to Italian time). Only then will it be possible to discover all the details about the three devices and know the characteristics of the new proposals of the Taiwanese company.
