Apple is always very "closed" on technical data, and has not even declared the capacity of the batteries of the iPhone 13: here they are, however, with a little "trick"
The recent presentation of iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max is still discussing technology enthusiasts, intent on exchanging considerations and opinions on the new iPhones. In addition to understand how they go, and that can only be told by a field test, there are some technical data that Apple, as usual, has not provided.
At Cupertino is a real habit established over the years to avoid crowding the presentation of numbers understandable only to a part of the fans, so Apple, as always, has limited itself to talk about the new iPhone 13 and provide what little information on hardware in terms of percentage changes. The problem, however, is that not even at the end of the event the company provides precise numbers to the press or on its portal, so the most curious simply have to wait for the arrival of some other rumors, leaked files or disassemblies to get to the bottom of the nature of the components used.
Iphone 13 battery, how big is it
Apple, during and after the presentation, merely pointed out that iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini respectively offer up to 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours more battery life than previous generation models, and that the same increases apply to the Pro variants, so iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro respectively up to 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours more battery life.
Making up for the lack of information about the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro's battery capacities is a document that came out of Chemtrec, a company that deals with dangerous goods transportation, including lithium batteries. Il documento indica che:
- iPhone 13 mini ha una batteria da 9,34 Wh, il 9% circa in più degli 8,57 Wh di iPhone 12 mini
- iPhone 13 ha una batteria da 12,41 Wh, il 15% circa in più dei 10,78 Wh di iPhone 12
- iPhone 13 Pro ha una batteria da 11,97 Wh, l’11% circa in più dei 10,78 Wh di iPhone 12 Pro
- iPhone 13 Pro Max ha una batteria da 16,75 Wh, il 18% circa in più dei 14,13 Wh di iPhone 12 Pro Max
I dati fotografano bene la crescita generalizzata delle batterie dei nuovi iPhone 13, con la variante Pro Max ad ottenere il maggiore incremento, forse in virtù del volume interno più elevato rispetto agli altri.
Batteria iPhone 13, la capacità stimata
Possiamo andare più a fondo e basarci sui dati di Chemtrec per cercare di ricavare le capacità in mAh dei nuovi iPhone. Assumendo infatti che la tensione nominale delle batterie di iPhone 13 sia la stessa della generazione precedente (3,83 volt) si può ricavare la capacità di ciascuna di esse.
Vale la pena di ribadire che si tratta di un “trucchetto" basato su un’ipotesi, non su dati ufficiali: i numeri potrebbero essere superiori o inferiori di 100 mAh circa.

Nel frattempo, comqunque, i nuovi iPhone 13 sono già in prevendita allor stesso prezzo di quelli dell’anno scorso.
