Best PS3 games for kids

There are classics for both adults and children, as well as games designed for children.

The PlayStation 3 is one of the home consoles that has written a big (beautiful) piece of gaming history. At its debut in Italy in 2007, the black monolith of Sony has fought an intense head-to-head with the high-performance Xbox 360 license plate Microsoft. And it is remembered for having given the geek population a large library of excellent titles. If there's no shortage of masterpieces dedicated to a more mature audience, there are also many PS3 games for kids and teens that put on the plate pleasant graphics and engaging gameplay. These games are absolutely accessible and with themes suitable for children, but at the same time do not expire in trivial mechanics.

Sonic Generations

In the wake of the movie starring Jim Carrey that fans of SEGA's blue hedgehog liked so much, it's impossible not to notice among the best PS3 games for kids the colorful Sonic Generations. This is a platformer dedicated to the historic rival of Super Mario developed to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the series. As the name already suggests, in the game we'll explore different generations: during the celebration of Sonic's birthday, a mysterious creature known as Time Eater appears, sucking all participants into "time holes", sending them to different video game eras. The hero and his trusty Tails set off on a new adventure to save their friends, meeting old and new faces on the way.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

Among the best PS3 games, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes is very suitable for those who prefer action. The game from the talented Traveller's Tales team uses the versatility of Danish bricks and the epicness of the Marvel superhero stories to create an open world action packed with irony and special abilities. After experiencing their exploits at the cinema, children and adults alike can hold the DualShock to control more than 150 characters from the House of Ideas universe, each with their own specific powers. Powers that must be "exploded" in an open world, which reproduces the Marvel version of New York City.

Wonderbook - The Potions Book

This is not a traditional video game, but rest assured that with Wonderbook - The Potions Book Harry Potter fans will have a lot of fun. The title has been created by Sony in collaboration with the British writer J. K. Rowling, author of the literary and cinematographic saga of the most famous wizard in the world. In order to work, the augmented reality game requires the PlayStation 3 Wonderbook software, along with the PlayStation Move and PlayStation Eye accessories - sold separately. In the prologue, we will be asked to choose a house from the four possible - the classic Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff - or alternatively to connect our Pottermore account to the game to import all our data. There are seven chapters to tackle, and in each one we'll learn how to create a different potion.

Cars 3 - Racing for Victory

Another big-screen animation, but this time for a highly regarded production from the award-winning Disney/Pixar firm. The reference is to Cars 3, which inspired the video game Cars 3 - Racing for victory, developed by Avalanche Software. With the pad, the software house launches us into a frenetic racing game, suitable even for the youngest thanks to affordable and never frustrating mechanics. That's why it deserves to "cross the finish line" among the best PS3 games for kids. There are over 20 characters to choose from, including Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm and Cruz Ramirez, and 6 different game modes.

Just Dance 4

Does your child or grandchildren like to dance? Great, because among the games for children on PlayStation there is also Just Dance 4. This is a musical video game belonging to the well-known Ubisoft franchise. The video game with an unbridled rhythm requires you to imitate choreographies of increasing difficulty by dancing to 47 songs, some of them very famous. In the playlist we have - among others - Asereje by Las Ketchup, Looking for Love by Emma, Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen, and even Good Feeling by rapper Flo Rida and Livin' la vida loca by Ricky Martin.

LittleBigPlanet

Creativity is the watchword of LittleBigPlanet, a curious platformer among the best PS3 games for children - and not only! It differs from other platform titles mainly for the possibility to create a level at will, using all the objects collected during the story mode. The protagonist of the adventure is the cuddly Sackboy, a little rag doll called to save his colorful world from the evil Collector.
