The new Bonus TV can be requested starting today, without ISEE limits but with 3 very precise requirements to be met (plus one for the seller): here's everything you need to know
Starting today, Monday, August 23, 2021, the new Bonus TV thanks to which the Draghi Government will try to stimulate the generational replacement of millions of televisions in our homes that are not compatible with the new second-generation digital terrestrial transmission standard, the now famous DVB-T2. The measure was introduced in parallel with the postponement of the switch off by a few weeks, moved from September 1 to October 15.
The new bonus can be accumulated with the existing one, but it works differently. The main difference is that the old bonus is linked to the income of the family (i.e. ISEE), while the new one is not: everyone can request it, regardless of their income. However, to say everyone is not 100% correct: it should in fact say "All those who meet the requirements", and among the requirements there is no income. The decree that introduces the new Bonus TV, in fact, provides for 3 very clear and simple requirements to be met, otherwise no bonus. There is also a very important limit for the sellers of the devices, which in fact excludes the most important player in the market. So let's clarify and see how the new Bonus TV 2021 works.
New Bonus TV 2021: how much is it worth
Let's start with the amount: no more than 20% of the price of the TV, but no more than 100 euros in total. Doing a quick calculation, the full bonus is only taken if you buy a TV of at least 500 euros (20% of 500 euros is just 100 euros). Comprandone una da 400 euro, invece, si può ricevere soltanto un bonus da 80 euro, per una da 300 euro si ottengono 60 euro e così via.
Il bonus viene erogato direttamente dal venditore al momento dell’acquisto ed è legato alla rottamazione di un vecchio apparecchio televisivo. La rottamazione può essere fatta in proprio, portando la TV in un’isola ecologica o un centro di raccolta RAEE e facendosi consegnare un certificato di avvenuta consegna per rottamazione, oppure portando direttamente la TV in negozio.
Tutti i negozianti hanno l’obbligo di legge di ritirare la vecchia TV se ne acquistiamo una nuova e questo vale a prescindere al Bonus TV 2021.
Nuovo Bonus TV 2021: i 3 requisiti
Il decreto del Ministero dello Sviluppo economico prevede tre requisiti molto chiari da rispettare, senza i quali non è possibile erogare il bonus:
- Essere residenti in Italia
- Rottamare una TV comprata prima del 22 dicembre 2018
- Essere in regola con il pagamento del canone RAI
Se anche uno di questi requisiti non è soddisfatto, niente bonus.
Nuovo Bonus TV 2021: il requisito per i negozi
Infine, lo stesso decreto prevede un ulteriore limite (già presente per il precedente bonus da 50 euro legato all’ISEE): il venditore deve essere un negozio con partita IVA italiana. Nothing changes if the store is physical or online, the important thing is that it is an Italian store and not a foreign multinational or any other shop based abroad.
This translates into the biggest limitation for the new incentive to the scrapping of old TVs not compatible with the second generation digital terrestrial: the Bonus TV 2021 is not valid on Amazon.
