Netflix N-Plus è ancora un progetto non ben definito, ma potrebbe cambiare il volto della piattaforma aprendo ad una dimensione social e ai contenuti audio.
Dall’America arriva una notizia molto interessante per gli utenti di Netflix: la piattaforma di streaming starebbe lavorando ad una nuova funzione, o sezione, chiamata Netflix N-Plus. Lo si deduce da un sondaggio condotto da Netflix tra i suoi utenti negli Stati Uniti, all’interno del quale ci sono delle domande che riguardano proprio “N-Plus“.
Si tratterebbe, secondo il giornale online Protocol che ha diffuso per primo la notizia, di una funzione/sezione con contenuti aggiuntivi (da qui il “Plus“) descritta come un “futuro spazio online dove puoi imparare di più sugli spettacoli Netflix e su cose ad essi correlati“. Non si sa ancora esattamente cosa intenda Netflix per “cose ad essi correlati“, ma è probabile che si tratti di contenuti aggiuntivi non per forza in formato video: tra le ipotesi non mancano infatti i podcast, ormai molto alla moda come tutto il mondo che gira intorno all’audio. Non è la prima volta che Netflix produce contenuti aggiuntivi per i suoi utenti, ma se N-Plus dovesse arrivare veramente allora è possibile che questi contenuti divengano la regola. In più, e questa è forse la cosa più interessante, Netflix N-Plus avrebbe anche una dimensione “social“.
Netflix N-Plus: le informazioni disponibili
Tra le informazioni su Netflix N-Plus che si possono estrapolare dal sondaggio c’è anche la possibilità per gli utenti di creare e condividere playlist personalizzate: in pratica gli utenti N-Plus potrebbero creare elenchi dei loro show TV e film preferiti e pubblicarli online, o condividerli con gli amici.
But the survey also states that "If viewers are not members [of Netflix ], they can only see a trailer for the show." This, in an indirect way, would translate into a lot of free publicity for Netflix coming from its own users, who create playlists and post them perhaps on social media making their contacts on the various platforms want to subscribe.
Netflix N-Plus: not just video
Another very interesting thing about the survey reported by Protocol is that this would not only be available for video, but also for audio: playlists could be created of the songs and in the music featured in movies or TV series.
This, however, would involve a commercial agreement between Netflix and the record majors that would ultimately benefit both given the social dimension already described.

Finally, it would seem that Netflix N-Plus could also host particularly good reviews made by the platform's users, even in audio format (podcast, then), and could even be used as a communication channel between Netflix and users to get their feedback on productions yet to be finished.
This would mean, in practice, that users could have their say and explain to Netflix what they would like to see within a movie or TV series.
