Sullo schermo tornano così i due simpatici mostri Mike e Sulley che lavorano nella centrale elettrica di Monstropolis. They are the ones who, thanks to little Boo, will discover that to produce more electricity you don't need to scare children, but to make them laugh by producing 10 times more energy. The animated series hooks up right at the end of the film and tells the story of a new character: the Scare Tylor Tuskmon who discovers that the factory has changed its line of work and will have to reinvent himself as a comic monster to make them laugh.

Fans of the film had left Mike and Sulley, who after taking care of Boo, discovered how children's laughter produces 10 times more energy than screams of fright. The two monsters suddenly become the bosses of the Monsters, Inc. plant in Monstropolis and will have to change the company's structure: goodbye Frighteners, welcome Jokers.
The animated series has as its protagonist the monster Tylor Tuskmon, just graduated Frightener with honors, who finds himself in the factory to do a completely different job: he is assigned to the group of mechanics of Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT), which deals with maintenance. Starting from the bottom, amidst many hilarious gags and hilarious characters, Tylor will try to realize his dream: to become a Jokester.

The new animated series of Monster & Co, which won an Oscar for Disney and Pixar, is produced by Disney Television Animation and was developed by Bobs Gannaway, a veteran of Disney animation.
In the original version, to give the voice to Mike Wazowski and James P. "Sulley" Sullivan are respectively Billy Crystal and John Goodman. In Italy, the voices of the film were respectively Tonino Accolla, the deceased 2013 voice actor, and Adalberto Maria Merli.
The new protagonists in the English version will be voiced by Ben Feldman for Tylor Tuskmon, Mindy Kaling as Val Little, Henry Winkler as Fritz, Lucas Neff as Duncan and Alanna Ubach as Cutter.
Monsters & Co. The Series - Work in Progress! will be available for streaming beginning July 7 on Disney+ and a new episode will be released on the platform each week.
