Violated profiles, stolen personal information, there are many people who every day fear to deliver their data in the hands of hackers, especially when it comes to access social networks. To help its users, Facebook takes the field with a simple idea.
The social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg in fact will implement a new protection system: support for USB sticks that protect users' data. Instead of using codes and other forms of verification, members will be able to use this small tool to access their accounts. In fact, it is well known, as shown by the actions taken by other companies as well, that the password is sometimes not enough. WhatsApp, ad esempio, per mettere al riparo gli account dei suoi utenti, alcune settimane fa ha introdotto la doppia autenticazione. Le chiavette USB però garantiscono un margine di protezione maggiore.

Dopo aver introdotto dei miglioramenti sul fronte della privacy, Facebook dunque si muove ancora una volta a favore degli utenti, lanciando un nuovo sistema di sicurezza. Il funzionamento di questa sorta di memory stick è abbastanza semplice: basterà infatti inserire la chiavetta USB nel computer e premere sul pulsante presente sul dongle intelligente per accedere direttamente al profilo Facebook. Come già anticipato, rispetto alle doppie autenticazioni, le chiavette USB tutelano più efficacemente i dati personali degli utenti. Al loro interno infatti contengono un sistema di criptaggio che è in grado di proteggere le informazioni.
