Galaxy A12, Samsung’s low-cost smartphone: the features

Samsung is ready to launch a new budget smartphone: the Galaxy A12. On board an Exynos chipset with 3-4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage

Just 6 months after the launch of the Galaxy A11 budget smartphone, Samsung is ready to launch its successor Galaxy A12. This smartphone will also be particularly cheap, while still boasting up to 64GB of internal storage.

The features of the new low-cost Galaxy A12 smartphone will not be different from its predecessor, as the model is aimed at the lower end of the market and emerging countries. The design should be very similar, but the internal memory sizes could be two: 32 GB and 64 GB. The other components such as the LCD panel screen and the triple configuration camera could also remain, while Samsung may have thought about an upgrade of the battery, which could offer more autonomy if it is increased to at least 4000 mAh.

Galaxy A12, the features

If the new Galaxy A12 resembles its predecessor in most of the features, we can expect a 6.4-inch LCD display, with an Exynos processor and RAM between 2 and 3 GB. The camera on the back would be triple configuration, probably with a 13-megapixel main sensor, 5-megapixel ultra-wide secondary and a third 2-megapixel one. The fingerprint sensor could be always on the back of the cover, available in four colors. The battery on the other hand could be bigger in the new budget smartphone, exceeding 4000 mAh.

Galaxy A12, release and price

The Galaxy A12 has just entered the development phase and it will take several months before it is officially launched. This implies that Samsung's smartphone could arrive in early 2021, if not even later. The phone should be available in black, white, red and blue color variants and the cost, if it will be similar to that of its predecessor, will not exceed 150 euros.
