Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, official the low-cost smartphones from Samsung

Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 are the two new low-cost smartphones from Samsung: here are the official features and launch price

Samsung has removed the veil to the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, the two smartphones of the new range dedicated to millennials on which the South Korean company is betting heavily for the future. The two devices had few secrets: in previous weeks we had anticipated both the technical characteristics and the design with the "teardrop" notch. The only doubt remained the price. And Samsung has surprised us: the starting price of the two devices is less than 100 euros.

For the moment, the Galaxy M10 and the Galaxy M20 will be launched only in India and have as target audience the under 18, a rather important segment of the population in Southeast Asia. The smartphones present a very interesting design: it's the first time that Samsung inserts the notch (albeit small) on its devices. The merit is the Infinity-V screen that will be used in the future on other devices of the sucorean company. In addition to the design, the two devices also have rather interesting features: both mount a dual rear camera and quite high-performance Exynos precessors. The two smartphones will be launched for now in India, but it is not excluded that they will also arrive in Europe in the coming months.

Galaxy M10, the features

The Galaxy M10 is to all intents and purposes an entry-level smartphone designed for those who are looking for a device that supports the main applications and that has a very low cost. On board the Galaxy M10 we find an Exynos 7870 chipset supported by 2/3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory expandable up to 512GB. The screen is 6.2 inches with HD+ resolution and teardrop notch. On the back, in addition to the fingerprint sensor, we find a dual camera with 13 Megapixel main sensor and 5 Megapixel secondary sensor dedicated to collect depth of field information. There is also support for facial recognition.

Galaxy M20, the features

Slightly better performing than the previous model, the Galaxy M20 always falls into the category of entry-level. This time we find the Exynos 7904 chipset, supported by 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal memory, expandable up to 512GB. The screen is 6.3 inches with FullHD+ resolution and always characterized by the "teardrop" notch. In the rear we find the same photographic compartment: 13 Megapixel main sensor and 5 Megapixel secondary. Samsung has paid great attention to the autonomy of the device by implementing a 5000mAh battery.

Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, prices and release date

For the basic model of the Galaxy M10 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory the price is just under 100 euros. To get the advanced version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage the cost increases by 10 euros.

The prices of the Galaxy M20 are also competitive: the basic model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage costs about 135 euros, while the top of the range version with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at about 155 euros.

The smartphones are available for purchase in India since February 5, but it is not excluded that in the future they will also arrive in Europe.
