Galaxy M21 official, low-cost smartphone with super battery

Galaxy M21 is Samsung's new low-cost smartphone with a 6000mAh super battery. Here are the features and the price

Samsung has officially unveiled its new mid-range phone, the Galaxy M21, for now only available in India, but soon it could debut in the rest of the world as well, like its predecessors did. The new low-cost phone from the South Korean manufacturer was supposed to be released two days ago, but the presentation has been postponed to today due to delays not well specified by the manufacturer.

The Galaxy M series made its debut last year and was immediately characterized by two very interesting features: a low-cost launch price and a super battery that lasts up to two days. Features that we also find in the Galaxy M21, successor to the Galaxy M20 that has been a good success in Italy. The device is based on Exynos 9611 processor and 4GB of RAM. Samsung's smartphone enters into direct competition with Chinese devices in the same price range. Here are the features of the Galaxy M21.

Samsung Galaxy M21: features

The new device from Samsung shares most of the features with the recent Galaxy M31, starting with the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with Full HD+ resolution and the 6,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W fast charging. Under the shell beats an Exynos 9611 processor with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB UFS 2.1 storage expandable via a microSD card. Dual SIM card slot, LTE connectivity, GPS, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, Dolby Atmos, as well as USB type C port and classic 3.5 mm jack.

Maybe a little weak the photo compartment, but in line with the standards of a low-cost phone. On the back we find a triple camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel wide-angle sensor, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Front-facing 20-megapixel camera embedded within a "U" shaped notch placed centrally on top of the screen. Finally, complete the features of the new Samsung Galaxy M21, the capacitive fingerprint reader located on the back side, but the smartphone also supports facial unlock.

Samsung Galaxy M21: price and release date

For now Samsung has only communicated the price of the variant of the Galaxy M21 with 64 GB storage capacity: 12,999 Rupees, which, at current exchange rates, corresponds to about 160 euros. No information on the price of the 128 GB version. The Galaxy M21 will be available in two colors, blue and black, and will be ordered on Amazon, also in India, from March 23 at 12:00.

For the Italian market we must wait for the evolution of the international situation: the outbreak of the epidemic Covid-19 is creating many problems for companies, both in the supply of components and in the launch of devices. We will see what will happen in the next months.
