Galaxy M30, Samsung’s low-cost smartphone with infinite battery

The Galaxy M30 is expected to debut on the market by the end of January. On board is the Exynos 7885 with 4GB of RAM and 5000mAh battery. It will be launched in India

It promises to be a 2019 full of news in the house of Samsung. The South Korean company is ready to launch a new range of budget smartphones designed for users who are looking for reliable and value for money devices. The Galaxy M series will officially debut on January 28 in India and soon it could arrive in Europe as well.

Initially Samsung is expected to launch three new low-cost smartphones: the Galaxy M10, the Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M30. The last one on the list will be a device with very interesting features: a virtually infinite battery (5000mAh), a very large screen with a teardrop notch and a triple rear camera very similar to the one seen on the Galaxy A7 2018. Samsung is betting heavily on these new smartphones to counter the dominance of Chinese smartphones in the price range from 200 to 400 euros. And just 400 euros should be the reference price of the Galaxy M30.

Features Galaxy M30

The Galaxy M30 should have a respectable technical card starting with the Exynos 7885 processor that ensures good performance. In support we find 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, expandable via a microSD card. The screen will be 6.38 inches with a FullHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Galaxy M30 will be the first Samsung smartphone to have the notch: it will be teardrop-shaped and will be inserted centrally at the top of the display. Very interesting is the photographic compartment: the front camera will be 16 Megapixels, while in the rear we will find three photographic lenses. The main sensor will be 13 Megapixel, while the secondary 5 Megapixel. The third sensor will always be 5 Megapixel and will be used to collect data on the depth of field.

The battery will be one of the main features of the device: 5000mAh that guarantee an autonomy of two days. The smartphone will arrive with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

Galaxy M30 release date and price

The Galaxy M series will be unveiled in India on January 28 and initially will be launched only in Southeast Asia. Samsung's goal is to counter the dominance of Chinese smartphones in the mid-range market. The launch price of the Galaxy M30 should be around 300-400 euros. The smartphone could also arrive in Europe, but not soon: we will talk about it in the second half of 2019.
