The South Korean company publishes a tweet to advertise the Exynos 8895 processor and accompanies the text with a photo of a mysterious device. Is it the Note 8?
As the days of its launch approach, many take for granted that it will happen in late August from New York, the Galaxy Note 8 is increasingly the subject of rumors. The latest news, however, comes directly from Samsung, which inadvertently may have unveiled the new phablet.
Everything starts from a tweet, which the South Korean company has published on "Samsung Exynos", the official profile dedicated to its processors. The text, in which reference is made to the Exynos 8895, the system-on-chip on board the Galaxy S8, is accompanied by a rendering depicting an unknown device. That it is not the latest top of the range is certain. The mysterious device, in fact, on the right side has no power button, a button present instead on the S8. The image has not gone unnoticed and in a few moments has sparked the curiosity, and even the imagination of the network. Many believe, in fact, that it is the Galaxy Note 8, spread in preview by mistake.
Double camera
At the moment, however, there is no feedback that could suggest that in the image posted by mistake there is really the long-awaited phablet from Samsung. Meanwhile, when a few weeks are missing from the official presentation, more and more precise details emerge on the technical characteristics of the Galaxy Note 8. The device, in fact, will be the first in the long history of the South Korean company to mount a dual photo sensor, which barring surprises will be 12 megapixels with optical stabilizer.
Very large screen
Depending on the target market, the device will integrate or the Exynos 8895, or the Snapdragon 835, one of the latest SoC from Qualcomm, already on board the Galaxy S8. It will have as much as 6 GB of RAM (two more than the S8) and above all it will mount a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display that, if compared with the smartphone presented a few months ago, will have a screen-to-body-ratio (the percentage occupied by the screen in the front panel) larger.
Release date and price
The phablet, which if according to rumors will be presented on August 26, will also integrate the S Pen, the famous stylus, very useful to better manage the large screen. The news also provides details about the price. The Galaxy Note 8 will arrive on the market at a cost of about $ 1000. Will it be as shown by Samsung on Twitter? We'll see.
