Galaxy S10: triple camera and three models to beat iPhone X

Samsung will present at Mobile WOrld Congress 2019 three new smartphones, two with triple camera and 6.1-inch Galaxy S10 to counter low-cost iPhone X

Apple is expected to launch soon, within the first weeks of October 2018 at the latest, its new three iPhone X models. Samsung, however, doesn't want to sit idly by as Cupertino takes the smartphone world by storm and is thinking about a triple camera and three models for the new Galaxy S10.

Samsung, in fact, is planning to launch three different Galaxy S10 models, one 5.8-inch, one 6.1-inch and another 6.4-inch. To report this indiscretion is the Korean analyst Ming-Chi Kuo always very attentive to the world of smartphones so much so that he was among the first to guess the launch of three models also for iPhone, including the new iPhone X 2018 economic with 6.1-inch screen. This news comes shortly after both companies concluded a nearly seven-year lawsuit in which Samsung was found guilty of copying the iPhone's design and compensated Apple for more than 500 million.

The new Samsung Galaxy S10 with triple camera

The two Samsung Galaxy S10 models of 5.8 and 6.4 inches will have five photo sensors in total. Three at the rear of the device and two at the front. The main rear lens will consist of a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, as already seen on the Galaxy S9+. New will be a brand new 16-megapixel 120-degree ultra wide-angle lens. Also on board these two top of the range devices we will also find the fingerprint sensor much faster and smarter than in the past that will be hidden under the screen. Finally, it is likely that the two smartphones will also have 3D facial recognition. The Galaxy S10 is scheduled to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2019.

Galaxy S10 6.1-inch vs iPhone X 2018 6.1-inch

The fight between the 2018 iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S10 will intensify especially when it comes to the two companies' new "low-cost" models. The 6, 1-inch Galaxy S10 in fact was created by Samsung to counter the new 6.1-inch iPhone X 2018 with LCD screen. Obviously, the features of the cheap Galaxy S10 will be different from those of its two top-of-the-line siblings. For example, we'll have a rear camera that's only dual and not triple, which is still a step up from the iPhone X 2018's 6.1-inch single. Also, the fingerprint sensor should be embedded somewhere in the body of the device and won't be hidden under the screen.
