Google Cardboard, here are the best apps for virtual reality

Virtual reality viewer created by Google, Cardboard allows users to access exclusive content and see the world from another point of view

After the failure of Google Glass, the Mountain View company has launched Google Cardboard on the market, a low-cost VR viewer that allows users to use their smartphones to easily and immediately access the "fairy world" of virtual reality.

In this venture, Google is by no means alone. All the big hi-tech companies have invested heavily in virtual reality: Facebook has presented the Oculus Rift; HTC has launched the HTC Vive; Samsung has been on the market for several months with its Samsung Gear VR. Such an activism that ended up infecting the world of video games as well. In mid-October 2016, Sony launched the PlayStation VR, which allows users to enjoy an immersive video game experience, to say the least. It will be enough to connect it to the Japanese console to find yourself in the middle of the action of your favorite video game.

What is and how does the Google Cardboard VR visor work

As the name also says, Google Cardboard is a semi-rigid sheet of cardboard that, thanks to the presence of notches, can be folded on itself to give shape to the VR visor. The device adapts perfectly to any type of smartphone (it is compatible with displays from 4 to 7 inches in size): all you have to do is set the size of the screen to have a user-friendly Google Cardboard. The low-cost VR viewer is completed with two biconvex lenses, an elastic band and two strips of Velcro to seal the entire structure.
