Google, Disney or SalesForce, three-way challenge: who buys Twitter?

The race to buy the microblogging portal seems to be in the home stretch. Let's find out who could buy Twitter and why

The future of Twitter now seems to be marked. The portal created by Jack Dorsey (current CEO of the company, among other things) has long been in the crosshairs of several Silicon Valley bigwigs, ready to take charge of the strengths and weaknesses of the social chirping.

Twitter, which in 2016 passed the 10-year mark of activity, seems to have entered a sort of vicious circle from which it cannot free itself. Despite being firmly in the list of social networks with the largest number of registered users, Jack Dorsey's creature has never managed to find a stable "position".

In addition, Disney could take advantage of this to expand into the mobile sector, where the twitter social network can count on a rather loyal user base.

Why SalesForce buys Twitter

Salesforce

Marc Benioff's company is the leader in cloud services for businesses. If SalesForce buys Twitter, it does so for two reasons: to gain access to the data of conversations and chirps that occur on the microblogging portal and to offer an additional communication channel to its business users. In this way SalesForce could strengthen its position in the field of social intelligence and analysis of user sentiment (reactions, positive or negative, to new products, advertising campaigns and scandals). Twitter, as said, would represent for SalesForce customers a privileged interface thanks to which they could interface with their users and understand in advance new market trends.
