Hacked Cellebrite, a company that helps law enforcement

Cellebrite is one of the leading companies capable of hacking mobile devices to extract information useful for investigations to fight crime

Cellebrite is an Israeli company that offers forensic consulting services on smartphones and other electronic devices to law enforcement and government agencies halfway around the world. It was it, for example, that helped the FBI unlock the San Bernardino sniper's iPhone.

And it's also the one that designed Textalyser, a software used by police to find out if a phone was used shortly before a car accident. The Israeli company has reported that it has suffered a hacking attack, with hackers managing to break into the company's servers.

The loot would amount to about 900GB of data containing information about the Israeli company's customers, products and services, and unfortunately, perhaps even more sensitive details. It is not yet clear whether the stolen information relates only to old investigations or those still in progress.
