The two-hour special entitled "CBS presents Oprah with Meghan and Harry" is also coming to Italy. It is the famous scandalous interview made by Oprah Winfrey to Prince Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Sky Italy has acquired the exclusive rights for the channel Tv8 and thanks to the collaboration, the special will be broadcast on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 on TV8. It will be an intimate chat, in which the couple will confide their hearts to one of America's most famous presenters. Among the highlights of the special is also the account of the dynamics of Buckingham Palace, which convinced Harry and Meghan to move permanently. The interview has caused a lot of discussion because Harry hinted that he moved away to avoid his wife Meghan being damaged by the British press, just as happened with his mother Lady Diana. But in the interview several issues will be addressed.
Harry and Meghan interview: the topics
Oprah Winfrey's interview with Prince Harry and Meghan will cover many different topics. They will talk about the Duchess' entrance into the British Royal Family, their falling in love, and marriage.
Oprah Winfrey will interview Meghan in particular while also talking about her relationship with Harry, her philanthropic efforts, how she managed to handle the change and her life in the spotlight. They will also talk about marriage and motherhood, but most importantly future plans for her and her family. Of course, the host will dwell on why the couple moved away from England to the U.S. and their dreams for the future.
According to predictions, it will be a no-holds-barred interview, where they will also talk about the difficult relationship between Meghan, the British Royal Family and the British press. Harry himself has said that he moved away from his country so as not to relive the drama of his mother, Lady Diana.
The special is produced by Harpo Productions, while the executive production is entrusted to Terry Wood and Tara Montgomery, in collaboration with Brian Piotrowicz.
Meghan and Harry interview: release in Italy
As for the international distribution, it is in the hands of ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group. The primetime special will premiere Sunday, March 7, from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT, on CBS Television Network in the U.S. and then in the following days will be available in different countries around the world. In the U.K. it will be broadcast on March 8, in our country the next day.
The special will air in Italy on Tuesday, March 9 at 9:30 p.m. on TV8.
