The Chinese company has announced its new top-of-the-line. A phone with a sleek design, preformed cameras and a notch display like iPhone X
The already long list of top-of-the-line smartphones of this early 2018 is enriched with a new model. A few weeks after the launch of the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, the Honor 10 arrives from China. The top of the range of the Huawei subsidiary was presented in the morning today to the Chinese press.
Not that there was then much to find out, about the latest Honor. The indiscretions and rumors of the past weeks had already revealed much of the technical Honor 10; the rest was done by Huawei "accomplice" the presentation of its new top of the range. Usually, in fact, the high-end devices of the two Chinese brands share most of the technical features and also in this case there are no exceptions. Honor 10 and Huawei P20 have many points of contact both on the front of the specifications, as well as on the front of the design and aesthetic choices.
Technical features Honor 10
Just sift through the Honor 10's data sheet to notice some of the many similarities with the smartphone-twin made by Huawei. The new top of the range Chinese manufacturer mounts the Kirin 970, SoC of the latest generation with NPU (stands for Neural Processing Unit) and specialized in the analysis and editing of images and photos. To support it 6 gigabytes of RAM and 64 or 128 gigabytes of storage space. The 3,400 mAh battery will ensure a good autonomy and, thanks to proprietary fast charging technologies, can be recharged by 50% in just 25 minutes. To run everything we find Android 8.0 Oreo, personalized with Emui 8.1. Completing the Honor 10 data sheet are the various motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope among others) and connectivity (Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi).
Notch is not missing, present in "mini" format as in the P20 and P20 Pro. Unlike the iPhone X, in fact, the notch at the top is reduced to the minimum, leaving even more space for the display (a 2.84-inch FullHD LCD panel and 19:9 form ratio). In short, a top of the range Android of early 2018, both on the front of technical features and design.
Photographic compartment Honor 10
The similarities between honor 10 and Huawei P20 continue even on the front of the photo compartment. Not so much for the sensors mounted (dual rear and single front sensor), but for the integration of artificial intelligence that will allow you to improve every shot thanks to the suggestions that will come from the Neural Processing Unit made in China. On the purely technical front, the Honor 10 mounts in the rear a 16-megapixel RGB sensor with f/1.8 aperture "assisted" by a 24-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The front camera, on the other hand, mounts a 24-megapixel sensor and f/2.0 aperture with special features for selfies.
Honor 10, Italian availability and price
At the moment Honor 10 is being pre-ordered on the Chinese market, where it will debut on April 27, 2018, while the European presentation is scheduled for May 15. The Honor 10 price is 400 euros for the 64GB memory version and just under 500 for the 128GB one. These, of course, are the costs expected for the Chinese market: foreseeable, at the time when it will also arrive at our latitudes, a small increase in price.
