The Honor Play 8A mounts a MediaTek P35 processor supported by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In Italy it could arrive in the coming months
Ahead of the start of CES 2019, Honor presents its first smartphone of 2019. No top of the range, however. For its debut in the new year, the Chinese company has launched an entry-level device, designed for those who are looking for a low-cost smartphone. The Honor Play 8A, this is the name of the device, offers everything a person looks for in a smartphone: it takes good pictures, supports all the most important applications and above all has an ultra-cheap price: just over 100 euros.
The technical card of the Honor 8A is quite basic: in addition to the MediaTek Helio P35 processor we find 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. The display is 6.09" with the innovative design with notch teardrop that will characterize most of the devices coming out this year. For the moment Honor has announced the release of the device only in China, but it is not excluded that it will also arrive in Italy.
Honor Play 8A: technical specifications
For its entry level smartphone Honor has chosen to rely on MediaTek processors: on board the Honor Play 8A we find the chipset MediaTek Helio P35, which is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD. The front is dominated by a 6.09-inch IPS LCD display with teardrop notch, in which is embedded the 8 MP photo sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Lacking, in addition to the dual camera, the physical sensor for fingerprints: makes up for the presence of unlocking via facial recognition and completes the picture of the entry level a 3.020 mAh battery with support for fast charging. From a software point of view, the Honor Play 8A is based on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.0 user interface. Present the slot Dual-SIM (two nanoSIMs plus a microSD).
Honor Play 8A: release and price in Italy
Available from next January 8, you can choose between the colors black, blue, gold and red. The basic 3/32 GB version of the Honor Play 8A is priced at 800 Yuan (at the current exchange rate about 100 euros), while for the 3/64 GB is required a little more effort: 1,000 Yuan, equal to 127 euros.
