Honor V40: how it’s made and when it comes out

The first Honor smartphone of the post-Huawei era will arrive in a few days: here's how it's made and how much it will cost.

Now we're just a few days away from the official debut of the Honor V40 smartphone. After postponing the launch of a few days, the first images of the official renders have arrived on the net. Therefore becomes more and more concrete the new phone, as a lot of information on what will be design and technical characteristics.

Of course we can not say that the last few days have not been full of unexpected events for this mid-range smartphone. It had been marked on the calendar for January 12 its appearance on the market but, due to delays accumulated in the various stages of production, the headquarters of Shenzhen had decided to postpone everything to January 18. Nothing to be done, however, since during the weekend just ended Honor has announced that it will have to wait a few more days before you can see the light of the long-awaited V40, combining in fact launch and arrival on the market of its long-awaited model. The anticipation for this model is high, especially since it is the first smartphone put on sale by Honor after it was sold by Huawei.

Honor V40, design and colors

Remains spread on the network show a design with rounded edges and a display with curved edges, for a greater surface of use. On the front, specifically in the upper left corner, then sprouts the space for the front camera. On the back, however, there is a module for the triple camera, LED flash unit and laser autofocus.

As for the colors, however, the information comes directly from the first photographs taken and spread on the network by those who have had the opportunity to touch the new V40. Currently there is talk of three shades, or black, orange / peach and blue, as shown in promotional posters appeared on the network and in stores where it will soon be on sale.

Honor V40, technical characteristics

From the technical point of view, there are several information popped up on the net about this new phone, especially on the sales site of the Suning Group, one of the recent buyers of the Honor brand from Huawei. It starts with 5G connectivity while, speaking of memory, this phone mounts an 8GB RAM, accompanied by a 128GB storage space. To act as a brain, a processor MediaTek MT6765 (Mediatek Helio P35) according to the sales site, different information than the rumors that spoke of a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 Plus 5G. Of excellence is the graphics engine, renamed GPU Turbo X.

Starting with the screen, the model should be able to count on a 6.57-inch Full-HD+ OLED display, slightly smaller than the 6.72 inches that had been anticipated by the first information online, but with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a sampling rate of 300Hz. On it, a punch-hole for the camera in the upper left corner and an integrated fingerprint reader then appear.

Confirmations are also expected from the rear camera block perspective. At the moment, there is talk of a 50-megapixel main sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. On the front side, the camera can instead count on a dual lens system of 32MP and 16MP. Concludes the battery, we talk about 4,000mAh, with support for fast charging 66W and 50W wirelessly.

Honor V40, price and launch date

Despite the various vicissitudes, Honor V40 should arrive on the market on January 22. Meanwhile, the phone is already on presale on the website of the Suning Group and other portals dedicated to the online sale of electronics and telephony products.

The smartphone is currently on sale at 3,999 Yuan, about 510 euros, but currently it is not known what will be the price set for European markets. So we'll just have to wait for more information on the timing and cost for our country.
