Honor is ready to launch the new range of Honor V40 smartphones: on board will be the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage
The new Honor V40 family promises top-of-the-line smartphones that hide many surprises. Almost a year after the launch of the Honor V30 family in November 2019, the first rumors are coming in about these new smartphones for both technical features and prices.
According to rumors circulating about Honor V40, V40 Pro and Pro+, the three smartphones could be equipped with a MediaTek SoC processor, AMOLED display with refresh rate between 90 Hz and 120 Hz. The choice of processor could be one of the first effects of the ban imposed on Huawei/Honor, especially for the possible imminent termination of relations with TSMC, which since May no longer accepts orders from the Chinese company. For this reason, the choice of processor could fall on the Dimensity 1000+ from MediaTek, presented last May.
Honor V40, the features
The features have not yet been confirmed, but Honor V40 could be with glass body and aluminum edge, equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, AMOLED screen with flat edges made by BOE and refresh rate at 90 Hz. 8 GB RAM and 128 GB and 256 GB UFS storage. The rear camera compartment consists of a 64-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide secondary and 10x hybrid zoom camera with OIS. On the front, a 32-megapixel camera. The 4200 mAh battery will have support for fast charging at 40W via cable and 27W for wireless charging.
Honor V40 Pro, the features
Also for Honor V40 Pro the choice of processor falls on a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, AMOLED screen with curved edges with 90 Hz refresh rate and dual hole for the 32-megapixel front camera with 3D ToF sensor. The rear camera, as in the other model, has a 64-megapixel main sensor, 12-megapixel secondary with ultra-wide optics and hybrid 10 x zoom camera, however with dual OIS. The slightly more powerful 4300 mAh battery with support for 40W wired and 27W wireless fast charging. For storage space there are two choices: between 128 and 256 GB.
Honor V40 Pro+, the features
If the processor of Honor V40 Pro+ is always the same as the other models, the difference is the AMOLED screen with curved edges made by BOE and with refresh rate that rises to 120 Hz. The RAM could be 8 or 12 GB, while the storage space will be 256 GB. More performing instead the rear camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor, secondary 12-megapixel with ultra-wide optics and 10x hybrid zoom camera with dual OIS. The front camera instead is 32 megapixels and 3D ToF sensor. Finally, the battery, which is 4200mAh with support for 66W fast charging and 27W wireless charging.
Honor V40, V40 Pro and V40 Pro+: prices
Among the rumors, there are no references to the possible launch date of the three top-of-the-line smartphones of the Honor V40 family, while the possible prices in the various configurations are already in circulation but have not yet been confirmed. Here is the possible price list of the three smartphones and their configurations in yuan and in euros at the current exchange rate value:

Honor V40 8 GB RAM/256 GB UFS 3.0: 3,599 yuan, about 450 euros;

Honor V40 Pro 8 GB RAM/256 GB UFS 3.0: 4,299 yuan, about 537 euros;
