DAZN, the new sports platform that will exclusively broadcast 114 matches of the Seria A 2018-2019, can only be accessed by having an Internet connection and using one of the supported devices.
Among the devices there are also smartphones and tablets, both Android and iOS. To watch a match from your smartphone, you just need to download the free DAZN application from the Google Play Store or the App Store, log in to the service using your account (you need to sign up) and choose the match you want to watch among those made available by DAZN. In addition to the Serie A, DAZN has acquired the rights to all the matches of the Serie B, the Spanish La Liga, Ligue 1, MLB (Major Baseball League), the NHL (National Hockey League), some darts tournaments and 40 boxing matches and MMA, the mixed martial arts very popular in recent years.

Per guardare le partite della Serie A in streaming su DAZN non c’è bisogno di una connessione a Internet ultra-veloce, ma è sufficiente una connessione stabile. Secondo i valori trapelati online, sarebbe sufficiente una connessione con una velocità di download di 8 Mbps per vedere con immagini fluide DAZN sul computer o sul televisore di casa. Per lo smartphone e il tablet i valori sono ancora più bassi:
- 2 Mbps velocità di download consigliata per la risoluzione SD (definizione standard)
- 3,5 Mbps velocità di download consigliata per la risoluzione HD e con la trasmissione delle immagini fluide.
Questi valori si riferiscono solamente al consumo per ogni secondo di trasmissione e non danno l’idea di quanto traffico dati si consuma vedendo un’intera partita. Partendo da questi valori è possibile fare un calcolo approssimativo di quanti giga si potrebbero consumare vedendo una partita completa.
Tralasciamo la parte dei calcoli perché un po’ complessa e arriviamo direttamente al sodo: per guardare una partita in streaming della Serie A su DAZN in qualità SD si consumano poco più di 1GB di traffico dati, mentre vedendo la gara in risoluzione HD si consumano all’incirca 1,5GB.
