Available at first only for some public administrations, the service allows you to pay the amount of the revenue stamp directly online
We are sorry, but we cannot accept your request, the revenue stamp is missing. It has often happened to many people to forget the tax to be associated with one of the documents issued by the public administration. No problem, from today it will be possible to buy it online.
It is active, as the same Revenue Agency has communicated in a note, @e.bollo, a telematic service through which Italian taxpayers will be able to pay the amount of the revenue stamp. The tax can be debited directly from one's account, using credit or debit cards or simply prepaid cards and using the PagoPA payment system of the public administration. Initially, the digital payment system will be available on an experimental basis only in Lombardy and Veneto, in the municipalities of Legnano, Monza, Pavia, Rho, Voghera, Treviso and Vicenza, and will later be extended to 750 other municipalities.
How to buy a revenue stamp online
As the Revenue Agency states, the service will make the relationship between citizens and businesses on the one hand and the public administration on the other more streamlined and faster. The purchase of the revenue stamp is very simple. All you have to do is identify the authorized payment service providers (PSP) that have signed an agreement with the Revenue Agency.
In the first phase, the service will be available only on the sites of the public administration that offer telematic systems to citizens and that have joined the Node of Payments of the Agency for Digital Italy, i.e. PagoPA. The first PSP to be enabled is the telematic payment system of Infocamere, through which it is already possible to purchase the digital revenue stamp.
The purchase of the online revenue stamp, therefore, can follow two paths: one in the case of using the PagoPA payment system, another in the case of using the services of an intermediary. If you proceed through the site of a public administration body, you must be registered on the platform and have all the credentials in order. From the user panel you can choose to buy and pay the revenue stamp online, following the instructions provided by the system: the procedure can be considered completed once the body concerned has verified the correctness of all steps. If, on the other hand, you choose to pay the revenue stamp online through an intermediary, you will need to install on your PC a plugin that will guide you step by step in the purchase. This software will validate the documents for which you need to pay the stamp duty and will show you the total amount to be paid:
