How to check if your Netflix account has been stolen

Like any profile, Netflix's can be hacked. When in doubt, before raising the alarm, it's a good idea to check. Let's see how

Netflix, one of the most important platforms for the fruition of multimedia entertainment content in the world, is often subject to hacking. And this is mainly because it allows more people to use the same account, thanks to the possibility of multi-screen subscriptions. This policy, in fact, although actually advantageous, has contributed to the formation of a real black market for the access of stolen Netflix accounts.

But how do you notice such an unpleasant fact? Usually you start to get suspicious when movies or TV series you have never seen appear on the home page, or you have reached the limit of allowed views in a short time, even if you have only one associated device. If such situations occur, then, it is possible that someone has managed to access your account in an illicit way, or that your Netflix account has been stolen.

Stolen Netflix account: what to do

However, before taking the right measures, it is good to make sure that what you assume is actually true. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a series of checks, so as to remove any kind of doubt. These are simple checks that can be carried out even by those who have little familiarity, not only with Netflix, but also with technology in general.

Check your Netflix account

To check if someone is using your account illegally, you must access the Netflix page, enter the required credentials and open your profile. At this point it is essential to click on the menu at the top right and then on the item "Your account".

Such changes cannot be made by malicious parties, as confirmation of the change is required via email. However, you should avoid forwarding or sharing emails even with trusted relatives and friends.
