So, the next time your boss asks you to do it (or maybe you need to create a single PDF file of all your university notes), you won't have to ask your geeky friend to help you out.

Programs to merge two PDFs
If you have a Windows PC, you can download PDF Merge Tool or PDFill Free PDF Tools. Both are free and work in a similar, if not identical way: once the program is installed, all you have to do is import the PDF files you want to merge and do Merge. Within a few seconds the program will have finished its work and you can send the document to your boss.
If you use a Mac, however, you can use Preview, the software pre-installed in the operating system that allows you to view PDFs. To merge two PDFs on a Mac, open the first one, click on the View menu and choose Thumbnails. The window will open a bar on the left side of the screen: drag the other PDF files into this bar and sort them according to how they should be merged. Now click on the File menu, choose Print and then Print as PDF: save the whole thing and you're done.

Again, there are many options available to you: you'll just have to choose the one that seems easiest to use. Two of the easiest ones to use are CloudConvert and SmallPDF.
If you want to use the first one, all you have to do is import the files into the platform, click on the Combine all into one button and choose to save as a PDF. Within a few tens of seconds the "unique" file will be ready to be downloaded. With SmallPDF, on the other hand, you'll have to choose Merge PDF from the main screen, select the files and, once uploaded, click on Merge PDF and wait for the operation to be completed.

Whether you have an Android smartphone or an iPhone, it doesn't matter: by downloading and installing Foxit PDF you'll be able to "merge" two PDF files into a single document.
