Huawei presents the second version of its smart glasses to listen to music and answer phone calls: very nice design and more advanced control system
They look like normal glasses, with transparent lenses or sunglasses, but they are actually the latest smart jewel from Huawei: they are called Gentre Monster II and are the evolution of the previous model, with several interesting innovations that make it easier to use these smart glasses.
The main function of these glasses is to listen to music without having to use headphones: inside the temples of the glasses, in fact, there are two earphones oriented towards the user's head, while in the outer part there are touch sensors so that you can control the glasses with gestures, but it is obviously possible to use voice commands as well. Rispetto al modello precedente aumentano le gestures riconosciute e, di conseguenza, le cose che possono fare questi occhiali smart semplicemente con un tocco o un pizzico.

Esteticamente i Huawei Gentle Monster II sembrano degli occhiali normalissimi, ma sono degli smart glass: il design, molto curato, è della coreana Gentle Monster ed è disponibile sia il modello a lenti chiare che scure, da sole. A dire il vero di design disponibili non ce n’è solo uno, ma ben quattro: Lang, Kubo, Myma, Havana.
In tutti i casi gli speaker sono integrati nelle aste degli occhiali e sono “semi-aperti“, che trasmettono il suono direttamente verso il canale auricolare per aumentare la privacy visto che questi occhiali possono essere usati anche per rispondere alle telefonate, oltre che per sentire la musica.

Per usare i Huawei Gentle Monster II è necessario accoppiarli ad un altro dispositivo, come il nuovo smartphone Huawei Mate 40 Pro appena presentato. Per farlo basta pizzicare l’asta sinistra. Con un doppio tocco dell’asta sinistra è possibile invece attivare lo Smart Voice Assistant.
Per passare al brano successivo o precedente e per regolare il volume basta far scorrere le dita sulle astine, non serve toccare il telefono. The sensors integrated in the Gentle Monster II intelligently detect the state of use: if the user is wearing them then they are activated, and the audio is sent to the glasses, otherwise not.
Music playback, for example, stops immediately when we take off the glasses, but resumes automatically if we wear them again within three minutes.
Huawei Gentle Monster II: when they arrive and how much they cost
The Huawei Gentle Monster II are already on the market, even in Italy. At the moment, only the Myma and the Lang are available, both for solo use, at a price of 329 euros that also includes a "Huawei Music Voucher", i.e. a subscription to Huawei Music that would cost 59.90 euros if purchased separately.
