Since today, the two new notebooks from the Chinese company are also available for purchase in Italy. High-end prices: €1,399 for the MateBook X and €1,199 for the MateBook E
Unannounced last month, the Huawei MateBook X and the Huawei MateBook E from today are also available in Italy. The notebooks, which mark the landing of the Chinese company in the field of laptops, are devices with very interesting features and could challenge the Surface Pro from Microsoft and Apple's MacBook.
At a glance at the technical specifications of the MateBook X and Huawei MateBook E, in fact, it is very likely that they will be able to cut a large slice of the market among high-end devices. Starting with the IPS screen, 13 inches in the first notebook and 12'' in the second. Both displays have a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. Also significant is the ratio between screen and body, clearly in favor of the former. In the MateBook X, the display occupies, in fact, 88% of the front panel, while in the MateBook E the value drops to 84%. Huawei has not neglected security. The two notebooks, in fact, are equipped with a fingerprint reader.
Going into detail, the other features of the MateBook X are also remarkable. The choice of the Chinese company, as far as the processor is concerned, has fallen on chips from Intel. The notebook, in fact, integrates a Core i5-7200U, which supports 8 GB of RAM. The internal storage space of Huawei's laptop is also good: The 13-inch laptop has a 256 GB hard drive. Another noteworthy specification revolves around the cooling system that will be fanless. The MateBook X has a front-facing camera of only 1 megapixel. Other items include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. The device overall is very light, weighing just 1050 grams.
The MateBook E is a hybrid device, so useful for those looking for a device to use as a notebook and tablet. As mentioned, it has a 12-inch display and fingerprint sensor. Good RAM memory, considering the sector in which it is placed: 4GB. Excellent, instead, the internal storage space. The storage of the MateBook E, in fact, is equal to that of its older brother: 256 GB. And again like the MateBook X, the device integrates a dual microphone and a Dolby Atmos sound system. The 2-1 notebook does not lack a camera, which is 5 MP.
Huawei's notebooks are aimed at a high-end audience. The MateBook X will be available for purchase at a price of 1,339 euros, while for the MateBook E the required euros are 1,199.
