Huawei P30 Pro: a render reveals the 4 rear cameras

The Huawei P30 Pro will be the Chinese company's first smartphone with four rear cameras. It will be presented at the end of March

The cameras on the back of the Huawei P30 Pro, the new premium smartphone that the Chinese company will present in March, will be four. These are the two most important news released in recent days: Huawei for the first time includes a photo module with four sensors on its own smartphone, while the presentation of the P30 range will be postponed to the end of March in an event organized ad hoc.

At Mobile World Congress 2019 Huawei wants to catalyze the attention on its first flexible smartphone, which will be officially presented on February 24 in Barcelona. For the P30 Pro we will have to wait a little longer. On this smartphone the Chinese company bets a lot: the goal is to repeat the success achieved by the P20 Pro, considered by all the best cameraphone launched in 2018. And precisely the photographic compartment will be the most important feature of the new Chinese top of the range. In addition to the four cameras, the smartphone will also have a dual laser flash that will serve to make the shots even more defined.

Features Huawei P30 Pro

The new P30 range will consist of three smartphones: a low-cost device, a top of the range and a phone with premium features. The premium smartphone will be precisely the Huawei P30 Pro. The device will mount the Kirin 980 chipset (the same present on the Huawei Mate 20) supported by 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. The screen will be 6.4 inches with QuadHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will have a small notch at the top of the screen where the camera will be inserted.

The real special feature of the Huawei P30 Pro will be the rear camera compartment. There will be as many as four sensors that Huawei will mount on its top of the range: the 48 Megapixel main sensor will be supported by a zoom sensor and a third lens for wide-angle images. The fourth will be a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor that will be used to capture more depth of field information. The four sensors will be aligned vertically, as is already the case on the Huawei P20 Pro. A dual laser flash will be placed alongside. The fingerprint sensor will be placed inside the OLED screen. The battery will be at least 4,000 mAh.

Huawei P30 Pro, release date and price

The Huawei P30 Pro will be presented by the end of March: the arrival on the market is scheduled for the beginning of April. The device is expected to be priced at just under 1,000 euros.
