Huawei launches in Italy from March 13 the Huawei P40 Lite at 279 euros. On board the Kirin 810 chipset with 6GB of RAM and four cameras
A great price, for great technical features, with only one limitation: the lack of Google Mobile Services. This is, in brief, the description of the new mid-range smartphone Huawei P40 Lite that will arrive in Italy on March 13.
P40 Lite joins P40 and P40 Pro to compose a new range of devices signed Huawei that, like the previous P30 range, has all the credentials to compete on equal terms with the competition. And even beat it, for several aspects such as the quality of the photo department (even on this "lite") and especially the price in relation to the data sheet. It is clear, therefore, that Huawei knows well that it could lose more than one customer due to the impossibility of integrating Android in the official version and, consequently, has preferred to be more "generous" on the hardware side while waiting for the situation to settle on the software side. But how is the new Huawei P40 Lite made?

Like any self-respecting Huawei smartphone, this P40 Lite also has a photo department that is appreciated. We're not at the levels of the P40 Pro with five rear cameras, but this P40 Lite still has four: 48 MP main with Sony IMX586 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, 8 MP 120-degree wide-angle and f/2.4 aperture, 2 MP macro with focus already at 4 cm and f/2.4 aperture, 2 MP ToF sensor. In the front, however, for selfies there is a 16 MP f/2.0 camera.
The display is a 6.4-inch IPS LCD with FullHD+ 2,340×1,080 pixels resolution, which can not have the fingerprint reader integrated (it is placed on the side). The SoC is Huawei's in-house developed HiSilicon Kirin 810, paired with an Arm Mali G52 GPU. RAM memory is 6GB, internal storage is 128GB (expandable with microSD). The battery is 4,200 mAh with charging up to 40 Watts. Of course, being based on the Kirin 810, this smartphone does not hook into 5G networks.
Huawei P40 Lite: how much it costs
The launch price of the Huawei P40 Lite, considering also the rich gift included, is really good: 299 euros. With this money, in addition to the phone, we also take home the FreeBuds 3 wireless headphones that normally cost a whopping 179 euros, and as much as 15 GB of cloud space on Huawei's servers. This offer is valid until March 26, after the price will be valid for the smartphone only. Three colors are available at launch: Midnight Black, Crush Green and Sakura Pink.
