Fourth batch of recruitment for the internal beta of HarmonyOS, which arrives on 14 more models. Meanwhile, the first numbers on the adoption of the new OS are emerging
Over 100 products including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs and other types of devices will be able to download HarmonyOS by the end of the year, to which many more will be added in 2022, while already now as many as 25 million devices have already installed it among the 69 models of Huawei and Honor for which HarmonyOS 2.0 has been available for a few weeks.
HarmonyOS is the operating system developed in a hurry by Huawei to remedy the USA that caused quite a few problems to the Chinese manufacturer, including the inability to dialogue with Google and therefore to procure Android and "Google Mobile Services", the services that the green robot uses to operate. HarmonyOS è disponibile da circa un mese, al termine di una fase di sviluppo che probabilmente in circostanze normali sarebbe proceduta a velocità diversa ma che negli ultimi due anni, di fronte ad un contesto che si è complicato improvvisamente, ha dovuto bruciare le tappe. La prossima, il quarto lotto di reclutamento per la beta interna, inizierà a metà luglio, quindi tra pochi giorni, e coinvolgerà 14 modelli.

HarmonyOS fa breccia sui più giovani di sesso maschile
Le tappe le ha bruciate HarmonyOS, sia in termini di rapidità nello sviluppo sia, poi, in termini di rapidità di adozione una volta che è stato reso disponibile. Secondo Aurora Mobile in appena 14 giorni di presenza sul mercato – tra il 2 ed il 15 giugno il periodo analizzato – HarmonyOS è stato installato 18 milioni di volte contando sia i dispositivi che hanno adottato la beta interna che quelli che hanno installato la beta pubblica.
The statistics also paint an accurate picture of the profile of the user who jumped on the HarmonyOS novelty: 71.7% of them are male, 45% are between 16 and 25 years old, 30.7% belong to the range between 26 and 35 years old while the adoption rate drops to just over 20% in the range between 35 and 46 years old.
A predominantly young audience, therefore, the one that opened its arms to clasp the new operating system developed by Huawei: almost 97% of those who immediately trusted HarmonyOS or wanted to touch the novelty with their hands are under 46 years old.
In terms of devices, instead, the Huawei Mate 30 family is at the top, on 44.6% of which there is already HarmonyOS, followed by 30.6% of the Huawei P40 line, with P40 Pro at 17.9% and P40 at 12.7%. The 15.7% of the Mate 40 Pro is interesting, however, far from the 22.5% of the Huawei Mate 30 and 22.1% of the Mate 30 Pro.
