Bugatti, la casa automobilistica specializzata in bolidi di lusso del gruppo Volkswagen, entra nel mondo degli indossabili lanciando su Kickstarter il suo primo smartwatch. Available in three different editions, the new wearable features top functionality for monitoring health status and sports activity and an elegant and refined design, in full luxury style.

Realized through the partnership developed with the company VIITA, specialized in the production of smartwatches, Ceramique Edition One was launched in a limited edition of 600 pieces. In addition to high quality technical specifications and a cut in full line with the elegance of the brand, the wearable is delivered in a box made of sustainable wood and vegan leather in black. For Bugatti, this is not the first experiment in partnerships of this kind: already last year, it had produced with Tidal a floor amplifier, Royale, with high-end elements and production details.

Bugatti VIITA, the three models

There will be three variations on the theme of Bugatti's smartwatch. Like the automaker's cars, the wearables have been christened Ceramique Edition One Le Noire (total black), Ceramique Edition One Divo and Ceramique Edition One Pur Sport (both in black with contrasting blue accents). With a shared hardware part, the three models will differ only in the design that will delineate the character of each of the three versions.

Each of the three Ceramique Edition One will be able to count on two different types of straps, easily replaceable by the user himself. The first, in titanium, with a distinct and robust appeal over time, and an additional one in Bugatti rubber for a more sporty and versatile use.

Bugatti VIITA, hardware features

Going, instead, to the strictly technical aspect, the smartwatch boasts a bezel made of ceramic, worked with CNC technology and finished entirely by hand in a process that in total takes about 20 days. The resistant titanium case, like the bracelet, houses an Amoled screen with 390×390 pixel resolution protected by a sapphire crystal.

Useful the integration of a battery with two weeks of autonomy, according to what has been declared by Bugatti; it is a 445 mAh accumulator capable of powering the dual sensor embedded in the back side of the case. Waterproof, it resists water up to 100 meters depth (10 ATM).

Bugatti VIITA, health monitoring

At the software level, Bugatti VIITA leverages a proprietary operating system equipped with 10 interchangeable dials and the Always on Display feature. Integrated with Strava, it does not support Apple and Google health apps, although the luxury wearable is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems from which it receives and displays text message notifications and major apps i.e. Facebook, WhatsApp, Skype, Calendar and more.

As for the sensors already mentioned, this smartwatch allows you to constantly monitor heart rate and variability, steps taken, blood oxygen, sleep cycles and physical activity, including calories burned during workouts. To these, then, are added stress and hydration levels, VO2 Max tracking, along with the calculation of the wearer's biological age with respect to body parameters.

Bugatti smartwatch, prices and delivery times

The Ceramique Edition One smartwatch is available exclusively through the Kickstarter platform, with the first price range set at €899 and the second at €999. Deliveries, according to Bugatti's own statements on the crowdfunding site, will start next October.
