Resident Evil Village: Is there a demo? We have the answer

With Village, the legendary Resident Evil series finally gets its well-deserved sequel. Better yet, there's even a playable demo of the upcoming hit - though not for all platforms.

Exclusive affair: the first demo of Resident Evil Village is only available for the PlayStation 5.

The basic premise of Resident Evil is familiar to many gamers. Nevertheless, the franchise has changed over the years; a playable preview of the new part is therefore all the more interesting.

Resident Evil Village: Two demos planned

According to the official announcement, there will be two demos to Resident Evil Village.

• The first demo is available since January 22, 2021, but exclusively for owners of a PlayStation 5.
• The name of the demo is "Maiden", which is due to the content.
• As a player, you do not slip into the role of the protagonist Ethan Winters, but in the role of the "girl".
• Because of the special game principle without fights, the demo is not intro or excerpt of the main game, but a specially made short story.
• Zusätzlich wird es zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, aber noch vor dem Release, eine weitere Demo geben, und zwar für alle Plattformen.

Dass Spieler anderer Plattformen auf die spezielle Maiden-Demo verzichten müssen, ist damit nicht mehr ganz so ärgerlich. Genauere Infos zu Gameplay und Release der zweiten Demo stehen noch aus.
