AMD Ryzen 3000: CPU family prices at a glance

With the Ryzen name, AMD got back on track and was able to win back large market shares from Intel. Now it's on to the 3000 series and our guide gives an overview of the prices.

The Ryzen 2700X was considered one of the big CPU hits of 2018, as it offered strong performance at a fair price - and usable cooling was even included. The 3000 series is now supposed to continue this upswing.

AMD Ryzen 3000: Prices and variants presented

Total, there will be eight CPUs in the 3000 series:

• The Ryzen 3 3200G for about 110 euros makes the entry.
• The Ryzen 5 family includes the three CPUs 3400G, 3600 and 3600X in a price range of about 170 to 275 euros.
• The two models of the Ryzen 7, 3700X and 3800X, cost 360 euros and 440 euros.
• The two top CPUs are called Ryzen 9 3900X and 3950X. The latter will probably cost more than 700 Euros, the slightly smaller 3900X is available for about 550 Euros.

AMD thus covers a broad spectrum and gives buyers further arguments not to rely on Intel. Practical tests and benchmarks will be decisive for that. The price development remains to be seen, since the CPU market is traditionally difficult to predict.
