Writing text messages is no longer in vogue since there are also free messengers that let you chat online instead of over the mobile network. To be able to take part in it, you just have to install the popular messenger WhatsApp on your Huawei P30.

To install an app like WhatsApp on your Huawei P30, it's best to use the pre-installed app store called Google Play. You can recognize the icon by a triangle pointing to the right in the iconic Google colors of blue, red, yellow, and green.

1. When you open the store for the first time, you have to sign in with your existing Google account or create a new Google account. When you do so, you'll also need to enter a payment method, but don't worry: both downloading the app and using WhatsApp are free.
2. Once you're logged in, simply type "WhatsApp" in the search bar at the top and select the first search result of the same name.
3. Now tap the "Download" button.
4. Wait for WhatsApp to fully download and install on your Huawei P30.
5. You'll then find the app in the menu. Tap it to launch it.

Once you launch the app for the first time, set it up. To do this, simply follow the instructions in the app. You will need the phone number you use on your Huawei P30 to log in. The contacts on your phone who also use WhatsApp will automatically appear after you set it up, and you can start chatting right away.
