  • The charging current indicates at what rate / in what quantity the battery is charged.
  • The capacity of the battery describes when it is fully charged.
From this, the calculation arises all by itself: Capacity / charging current = charging time.For this, a practical example:
  • A smartphone with a battery capacity of 2,300 mAh should be fully charged.
  • The charging current of the power supply is 1.5 A, so 1,500 mA.
The solution is quite simple: 2,300 mAh / 1,500 mA = 1.533 h = 1 hour 32 minutes (0.533 x 60 minutes).This result is quite realistic and can be quickly checked in everyday life.
