SIXT share: prices and cost models explained - all info

A look at the streets of German metropolises shows that SIXT is gaining importance in car sharing. Our guide takes a look at the prices and explains what special features there are in the calculation.

Many options: Prices at SIXT share depend on several factors.

With a sophisticated cost model, SIXT share aims to serve customers as individually as possible. Nevertheless, the basics are not too complicated.

SIXT share: The current prices at a glance

As of May 2020, the pricing model at SIXT share looks like this:
  • The rental starts with a base price that is charged per minute. In the cheapest category, the price per minute is 9 cents.
  • In addition, there is a daily price, which also serves as a cost brake. In the cheapest case, the daily rate is 59 euros per day. If you reach this amount over the minute price, you can continue to use the car until a total of 24 hours are reached.
  • Additionally, however, the driven kilometers are to be considered: Included in each rental are up to 50 kilometers with e-cars like the BMW i3 and 200 kilometers with internal combustion vehicles. Each kilometer beyond that costs 34 cents each.
Alternatively to this cost model and its conditions, you can rely on hourly or daily packages from the outset. The prices for these depend on the vehicle category and the desired duration. Here, too, there is always a fixed upper mileage limit, which, if exceeded, will incur further costs. More detailed information on this can be found here.
