In order to use alchemy recipes to build strong weapons and helmets in Dragon Quest 8, you first need an alchemy cauldron. Of these, there are a total of three cauldrons to find, which are unlocked throughout the game.

1. The Alchemy Cauldron 1 is the standard cauldron, which you receive early in the game when you meet King Trode. However, the standard cauldron can only combine two ingredients.
2. The second alchemy cauldron is unlocked over the course of Chapter 2 and allows you to mix up to three ingredients.
3. The best cauldron is Alchemy Cauldron 3, which you get when you master the Dragovian Exam. Once you have unlocked this cauldron, you can craft all items immediately without waiting.

How to use alchemy recipes in Dragon Quest 8

Once you have obtained an alchemy cauldron, you can start crafting various items such as weapons or equipment parts.
