My Time at Portia: Use and upgrade scanner - all info

In the ruins, besides raw materials, numerous relics are waiting for you. For this, the scanner is an indispensable help. We explain how you can use the tool and even upgrade it later.

Not only more range: you can upgrade the scanner twice - and it is advisable to do so.

You will automatically receive the scanner together with the jetpack before entering the ruins for the first time.

My Time at Portia: All info about the scanner

The scanner works quite simply:

• When you press "F" (PC control), a scan is performed. The radius is quite limited at first. Look out for yellow dots.
• If a yellow dot appears, align your gaze with it until the distance is displayed. Now you can dig in the appropriate direction.

This principle does not change later with the improved scanner. However, this one is even more capable, as it can mark several yellow dots at the same time and has a larger radius:

• The first upgrade costs 2,000 Gols and allows three markings at the same time, plus the outlines of the scanned objects are displayed.
• The second upgrade costs 5,000 Gols. It offers five markers at the same time, the object name is displayed and you can see more items.

You can always perform the upgrades at the desks at the entrance of the ruins. The prerequisite is a certain story progress. You will be notified as soon as an upgrade is possible.
