As in every year, also for the new FIFA 20 game a team was chosen from the best players of the last year. Who made it into the selection of the TOTY 2019 and whether German players are included, you can find out in our article.

This is the TOTY in FIFA 20

TOTY is the abbreviation for "Team of the Year" and consists of the soccer players who have shown the best performance in the past year. In FIFA 20, these are the players who have been voted into the FIFA Ultimate Team for 2019 by the FIFA 20 community. The TOTY of 2019 consists of the following players:
  1. The best goalkeeper was Alission Becker of Liverpool FC.
  2. The defense consists of Andrew Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool FC and Matthijs de Light of Piemonte Calcio.
  3. The midfield of the TOTY is composed of Frenkie de Jong of FC Barcelona, N'Golo Kanté of Chelsea FC and Kevin De Bruyne 98 of Manchester City.
  4. In the forward Sadio Mané of Liverpool FC, Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain and Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona go on the goal hunt.
  5. The choice for the 12th player of the TOTY fell on Christiano Ronaldo of Piemonte Calcio.

TOTY in FIFA 20: These German players were nominated

No German player has made it into the selection of the TOTY 2019. Nevertheless, four players from the Bundesliga were nominated with Mats Hummels and Marco Reus from Borussia Dortmund, Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern Munich and Kai Havertz from Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Marc-André ter Stegen, who plays for FC Barcelona in Spain, was also shortlisted as the best goalkeeper.
