Honor 20: Navigation bar - how to customize it

The Honor 20 has a navigation bar that is used to perform various functions and helps you navigate on your smartphone. In doing so, you can customize the navigation bar or even hide it. Get an overview of how to use and configure the navigation bar.

Honor 20: Navigation bar consists of these buttons

To quickly get to the home screen, switch between individual apps or close them on your Honor 20, the navigation bar helps you. It is displayed at the bottom of the screen and consists of three or four buttons, depending on the selected layout.
  1. If you want to return to the previous screen, close an app or the input keyboard, you need the "Back" button from the navigation bar.
  2. By pressing the "Start" button, which is marked by a circle symbol, you can return to the home screen of the Honor 20.
  3. The third button displayed is the "Last used" button. Touching it opens a list of all recently used apps. By holding the button longer, you can also activate the split-screen mode on the Honor 20.
  4. If you have chosen a layout with four buttons, the button for pulling down notifications is located on the far right, which opens the notification panel.

To change the current button layout of the navigation bar on your Honor 20, please first open the settings of the device. In these, then navigate to "System" > "System navigation" > "Three-button navigation" and tap on "Settings.".
