Apple Watch Siri - How to use both together

Not only on your iPhone or iPad, but also on your Apple Watch, you can use Apple's personal assistant Siri to make calls or send text messages. To do this, you need to enable Siri on your Apple Watch.

How to use Siri on your Apple Watch

"Hey Siri" is usually already enabled by default on the Apple Watch. If this is not the case on your Apple Watch or if you have disabled Siri at an earlier time, you can easily undo this.
  1. Pick up the paired iPhone and access the settings.
  2. Tap on "Siri & Search" and activate "Watch for 'Hey Siri'".
  3. Now navigate to "Settings > Siri" in the menu of your Apple Watch and activate the "Hey Siri" function.
  4. While doing so, you can decide whether you want to activate or deactivate "Lift to speak".

Now you have several options to use Siri on your Apple Watch:

  1. Lift your arm: Raise the arm you are wearing your Apple Watch on to activate the screen. Now you can address Siri with "Hey Siri" and have it execute commands.
  2. Tap: Here you need to touch the screen of your Apple Watch to activate Him. Siri can now take instructions.

What to do if you don't need Siri on your Apple Watch?

If you don't use Siri, you can disable the assistant on your Apple Watch in just a few steps. Access the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Navigate to the "General" option and here to "Hey Siri." Then drag the slider to the left. Siri will now no longer respond to the "Hey Siri" call. To use Siri again, you need to press and hold the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch for a longer period of time.
