iPhone X: Reset network settings

Although the iPhone X is one of the newest devices, even this smartphone is not protected from many a quirk. It can happen that you have problems with the WLAN connection of your iPhone and it no longer wants to connect to your router. There are several solutions to this problem.

How do you reset the network settings on the iPhone X?

The first thing you should do is restart your router so that you can rule out the possibility that the problem is with this device. If this method does not help you solve the problem, you have no other choice but to reset the network settings on iOS.
  1. Go to the settings of your iPhone by opening the Settings app. You will recognize this by a gray gear icon.
  2. Next, tap on the "WLAN" option in the settings. Look for your WLAN here. If this is not present, it may be that your router is broken. You should get a new device in this case.
  3. Tap on the name of your network. Now a connection should be established. If this is not the case, it helps if you reset the network. You do this by tapping on the small "i" to the right of the name and then going to "Ignore WLAN" further down. Don't worry, the WLAN is not really ignored. It will just forget all the settings.
