Smartphone cases are a dime a dozen. But the one made by a company based in Singapore, and for which a fundraising campaign was launched on Kickstarter, has no equal: it is a cover that not only protects the phone but adds another screen.
The InkCase i7 Plus, this is the name of the object produced by Oaxis, and designed for the iPhone 7 Plus, integrates a large 5.2-inch display on the back. Not a normal LCD, but an electronic ink screen. The case has some remarkable features, as evidenced also by the success the device is having on the crowdfunding platform, and lends itself to be used in multiple situations. With the InkCase i7 Plus, for example, you can read a book, view the weather forecast or check the time. And that's not all. Using the smart case from Oaxis, you can take, edit and send photos to your smartphone. And even change the background of the phone.
Features
The case integrates with the smartphone through Bluetooth, a connection to be used to transfer content between the two devices. The InkCase i7 Plus is not only drop resistant, which is useful to limit the damage of the smartphone, but also water resistant. Moreover, the e-ink screen is also scratch proof. And that's not all. In fact, the display is very bright (more than a regular e-reader). In addition, unlike other covers, the device of Oaxis is light and thin.

Interesting is also the feature that allows you to synchronize the news from the browser directly on the screen of the cover. In più, grazie a un algoritmo intelligente, la custodia sincronizza le notizie in automatico, in base ai gusti degli utenti. E non solo. La InkCase, infatti, elimina dal testo la presenza di annunci pubblicitari, prima di mostrare l’articolo sul display.
La custodia dispone di una batteria propria, in grado di assicurare 5 giorni di autonomia. Non è la prima custodia con schermo integrato che l’azienda di Singapore lancia. In precedenza, infatti, Oaxis aveva presentato un device simile, più piccolo e progettato per l’iPhone 7. La nuova custodia integra delle caratteristiche ulteriori, rispetto alla sorella minore. Offre, ad esempio, maggiore personalizzazione, si integra meglio con lo smartphone, ed è resistente all’acqua.
Data di uscita e prezzo di lancio
Come detto, Oaxis ha lanciato una campagna di finanziamento su Kickstarter, dove al momento, nonostante manchino diversi giorni alla sua chiusura, ha già superato i dollari richiesti per produrre la custodia.
