From 19:00 on September 19 you can download iOS 13, the new version of Apple's mobile operating system. Here are the compatible devices
The day of iOS 13 has finally arrived: the latest version of the operating system for iPhones is available from 19 hours of September 19 (at 10:00 in the west coast of the USA, i.e. in Cupertino, California). Within a few minutes it should be possible to download it on all compatible smartphones.
We already know that in a few days, on September 30, Apple will release the first upgrade that will bring the version of its mobile OS to 13.1. We also know that iOS 13 (but not iOS 13.1) will be affected by a security bug that could allow a thief to unlock the iPhone without a security code. However, the wait for this operating system has been spasmodic and, finally, it's over. Starting at seven o'clock on September 19, or shortly after if Apple's servers are bombarded with requests (as is highly predictable), all owners of compatible devices will be able to download and install iOS 13.
Apple iOS 13: the main new features
In addition to the now indispensable dark mode, iOS 13 will bring with it many other new features. First of all, a new login system, Sign in with Apple, which will allow us to sign in to sites and apps without giving away our Facebook or other social network data. Apple will communicate to the site or app only the data strictly necessary for login. With iOS 13, Apple has also updated many of its apps such as Maps and Photos and enhanced the Siri personal assistant.
Apple iOS 13: how to download it
The most comfortable and secure way to install iOS 13 is to connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi (the update weighs over 2 GB) and use "Over the Air" (OTA) updates. Andando su Impostazioni > Generali > Aggiornamento Software il nostro smartphone controllerà se c’è un aggiornamento disponibile. L’update verrà scaricato (e ci vorrà tempo) e, subito dopo, comparirà il tasto per avviare l’installazione. In alternativa è possibile scaricare iOS 13 tramite iTunes: collegando il nostro iPhone al computer, apriamo iTunes e selezioniamo il dispositivo da aggiornare. Poi facciamo click su “Riepilogo" e subito dopo su “Verifica aggiornamenti“.
Apple iOS 13: quali iPhone sono compatibili
La lista degli iPhone e iPod compatibili con iOS 13 è abbastanza lunga. In pratica mancano solo iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 e 6 Plus e iPod Touch 6. Sono invece compatibili i seguenti dispositivi:

- iPhone X
- iPhone 8
- iPhone 8 Plus
- iPhone 7
- iPhone 7 Plus
- iPhone 6S
- iPhone 6S Plus

Non sono presenti gli iPad perché Apple ha sviluppato per loro un nuovo sistema operativo iPadOS.
