IOS 14 has been unveiled and Apple has announced the list of compatible smartphones and when it will be released. Here's everything you need to know
It was supposed to be a major event and it was. At WWDC 2020, the annual conference that Apple organizes for developers, the Cupertino company showed the present and the future of the bitten apple devices. New versions of its operating systems and also new Apple Silicon processors that will replace Intel chips in MacBooks in the next two years. But all eyes were on iOS 14, the new version of the operating system of the iPhone.
The first news concerns the name: in recent days there was a hypothesis of a name change for the mobile OS, from iOS to iPhone OS. But it was immediately denied by the facts: iOS is and will remain the name of the iPhone operating system. As for features, widgets arrive, a new way to manage apps in the home screen (App Library), while the user experience and Siri's user interface has been completely overhauled. Also available is a new instant translation app.
Among the good news about iOS 14 is definitely compatibility with the same devices on which iOS 13 can be installed. On the timing of release, Apple has drawn up a timeline: the first public beta will arrive in July, the official release is expected in the fall.

iOS 14 needed a refresh and Apple seems to have understood it. The new version of the iPhone operating system brings with it many new features starting with widgets. They were announced well in advance and finally arrived: the mini-apps that allow immediate access to the most important features of the smartphone are available from iOS 14. iOS 14, when it will be released
The iOS 14 preview with all the features announced by Apple during WWDC 2020 are already available for members of the Apple Developer Program, while the first beta version will be released in July and you can download it from here. For the official version we will have to wait until next fall, most likely the second half of September.
