Apple launches the iPhone SE 2020, the lowcost applephone with top features. Here's how much it costs and when it will be available in stores
Many had almost given up hope, but Apple finally launched the new iPhone SE 2020, the low-cost smartphone designed for the mid-range. Although reading the data sheet, the iPhone SE 2020 is not so much mid-range, starting with the A13 Bionic chipset, the same present on the iPhone 11. For the rest, the smartphone does not present any novelty: the design is identical to that of the iPhone 8, including the presence of Touch ID for unlocking.
The iPhone SE 2020 is designed for all those who do not want to spend more than 1000 euros for a new smartphone, but still want to remain faithful to the applephone. The device fits into one of the most competitive market segments of the moment, where so far Chinese brands have dictated the law. Apple's goal is to conquer a small space in the market and slowly increase its influence. This also explains the decision to launch the base model of the iPhone SE 2020 at 499 euros. The smartphone will be pre-orderable from April 17, while shipments will start on April 24.
The features of the iPhone SE 2020
The rumors of recent weeks had helped to outline in broad strokes the data sheet of the iPhone SE 2020. And in fact, the official presentation did not reveal any big secrets.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic is creating many problems for smartphone manufacturers, with sales plummeting in the last two months, Apple wanted to continue to invest in the project of an affordable iPhone and decided to launch the iPhone SE 2020.
The device has a design very similar to the iPhone 8, from which it takes shapes and some features. Touch ID integrated into the body is back and the IPS panel is 4.7 inches. Under the screen we find the A13 Bionic chipset, the same mounted on the iPhone 11. The processor will definitely make a difference and will make the iPhone SE 2020 very fast and responsive. The smartphone is produced in three versions that differ in the amount of internal memory: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
The photographic compartment is very basic: 7-megapixel front camera and 12-megapixel rear camera, with support for 4K video and "Portrait" mode.

Lo smartphone può essere pre-ordinato online dal 17 aprile, mentre le spedizioni e la disponibilità partiranno la settimana successiva, il 24 aprile.
Per quanto riguarda i prezzi dell’iPhone SE 2020 si parte da 499 euro per il modello con 64GB e si arriva fino ai 669 euro del modello con 256GB di memoria. Tre le colorazioni disponibili: Black, White e (PRODUCT)RED.
