Jeff Bezos driving giant robots that look like Transformers

During the MARS event the Amazon founder seemed at ease driving from the inside a large robot designed in South Korea by Hankook Mirae Technology

Lately Jeff Bezos, the billionaire founder of Amazon, unless he isĀ engaged in a project to deliver the products of his e-commerce with drones, delights in commanding a robot. So far nothing strange you might say, but it's a pity that the robots in question can be piloted from the inside, as in cartoons.

The world of cinema, comics and cartoons is full of greatĀ robots, with extraordinary power, guided from the inside by a man. As we have already seen with Method-2, however, all this is no longer a figment of the imagination. The big robots with human pilot, to be used for movies or for rescues in areas of maximum emergency, soon will be the norm. They certainly aren't new to Bezos, who seemed very comfortable driving from inside a giant robot. Bezos tried his hand at this strange practice during MARS, an event held annually to showcase advances in automation, robotics, space exploration and artificial intelligence systems.

Designed in South Korea

The large robot piloted by Bezos was designed by South Korean company Hankook Mirae Technology. The same company that also designed the aforementioned Method 2. It should also be remembered that the entire range of these robots was designed with the collaboration of Vitaly Bulgarov. The designer who worked on the Transformers film series. Not only fun, however, for Bezos. Automation, especially in warehouses and sorting points, is one of the first goals for Amazon in the near future. All this would allow the company founded by Bezos to quickly and accurately handle most of the orders it receives. Robots like the one led by Bezos will be on the market by the end of 2017 and will have high costs, supposedly starting from 8 million euros.
