Juventus and Konami have entered into an agreement to use the name, brand and official jerseys of the bianconeri in PES 2020 that will be released in early September
The news circulated for a few weeks and now it has been made official: Juventus and Konami have closed an agreement that will allow the Japanese company to exclusively use the name, logo and stadium of the Turin team in PES 2020, the new chapter of the successful video game series available from September for PS4, Xbox One and Windows 10.
This is an important agreement for Konami that "snatches" to Electronic Arts the Italian champions and one of the strongest teams in the world. On Fifa 20 the name Juventus will not be present, replaced by Piemonte Calcio, while the players will have their real names. Even the Allianz Stadium will abandon Fifa 20 to move to PES 2020: each sector will be recreated to perfection thanks to the algorithms and tools of Konami. After having secured the champions of Spain, Konami tries to contrast the dominance of Electronic Arts guaranteeing for the next few years the exclusivity on the current champions of Italy. Miralem Pjanic, one of the most representative players of Juventus, will become Official eFootball PES Ambassador and will participate in events organized ad hoc.
Juventus - Pes 2020: what does the agreement
In addition to the name of the team, the colors of the jersey and the logo, Konami also had the opportunity to scan in 3D the physiognomy of each player of the Juventus team to reproduce it as faithfully as possible. Thanks to the technologies used by Konami, the movements of the Juventus players are more real. The same treatment has been given to the Allianz Stadium and to the fans' celebrations during the goals.
With the new partnership Juventus aims to strengthen its brand all over the world, especially in the Asian market where Konami and PES are very strong. For this reason, a Juventus legend (Pavel Nedved) and one of its most representative players (Pjanic) will be ambassadors of the new eFootball Pes 2020. The Bosnian midfielder will even appear on the cover of the video game.
We remind you that PES 2020 will hit the market on September 10, 2020 exclusively on PS4, Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. In the new edition there are many new features developed by Konami, starting with a revised Master League and made more competitive. And for Juventus fans there will also be the possibility to play with the players of their favorite team.
Juventus, goodbye to Fifa 20
Contemporaneously with the announcement of the agreement between Juventus and Konami, Electronic Arts announced the end of the partnership with Juventus. The bianconeri will be present on Fifa 20 with the name of Piemonte Calcio and with a coat of arms and shirts created ad hoc. As for the name of the players, however, will be the real one.
